NUP’S MAYOR IN HOT SOUP FOR INSULTING,DONATING OVER 30 PIGLETS TO GREATER LUWERO MUSLIM CHAIRMAN

The Muslim community in the greater Luwero region is bitter after the mayor of Luwero town council John Chris Buwembo offered a donation of 30 piglets to Hajji. Musa Kakande the greater Luwero district muslim chairman.
Buwembo’s move was intended to help the poverty stricken Hajji. Kakande to improve on his livelihood by securing him 30 piglets to help him fend for his family.
The mayor’ words towards Hajji. Musa Kakande who is also a councilor at Luwero town council left the muslims bitter and they started regretting as to why they voted for him as their town mayor.
Bwembo said the unfortunate word on the 9th. Oct. 2024, at the last funeral rite of NUP’s councilor Kityo, at Kiwogozi village in Luwero.
“I have donated Hajji Kakande the piglets, because he brought the proposal to the council, Okello Robert I am going to give him 20 piglets because my office is the one distributing” Said Buwembo
The Muslims who attended the event condemned Buwembo’s remarks as an unprepared leader because he does not know where to say words and when.
“We are not condemning Buwembo for distributing pigs to christians, we fault him for distributing them to the moslem community, the act is an insult to islam religion” said the Islams.
One of the local leaders in the area Mr Sebyala Charles who also doubles as former mayor for Luweero T/C regarded the mayor as unethical and lacked integrity and mentorship; such leaders don’t deserve to hold responsible public offices, therefore the electorate’s decision is in your hands.
